Cecile Pearson (she/her) is a Los Angeles–based painter working primarily in acrylic, colored pencil, and graphite. Influenced by growing up in a high-control religious environment, her work examines the psychological and cultural residue of belief through themes of nostalgia, repetition, and voyeurism.
She holds a BFA in Graphic Design, which informs her integration of pattern through both organic and defined reiteration. By balancing abstraction with a window of clear figurative storytelling, Cecile’s paintings invite viewers to consider not what they believe, but what belief feels like.
